How Ultra Clean Projectiles Work
Our cleaning projectiles are designed to compress against the internal surfaces of hoses, tubes, or pipes, ensuring a powerful cleaning action. Each projectile is approximately 20% to 30% larger than the internal diameter of the hose or pipe. For example, a 2-inch (50mm) projectile is recommended for cleaning a 1.5-inch (38mm) hose, providing optimal pressure and contact for debris removal.
Choosing the Right Projectile Size
Proper sizing is critical for cleaning effectiveness:
- Too large: The projectile won’t exit the nozzle.
- Too small: Ineffective cleaning.
- Coupling size variations: May require size adjustments, especially for hose assemblies.
For assemblies with unique or uncommon fittings, reducing the projectile size may be necessary. All sizing recommendations are based on standard coupling dimensions.
